The Story of Molly Holly Nora Greenwald's career certainly began in an odd way, considering her in-ring skill. In fact, it all started when 'The Prince' asked if she was interested in Professional wrestling when she was in Florida. The only athletic specialties that Nora had so far competed in were gymnastics and bench lifting. She had been two-time captain of her gymnastics team. This probably explains some of Noras amazing capabilities as a wrestler. Nora decided to go for it, since grown people throwing each other around in a ring sounded like it might be fun. At the time, she didnt even know that women wrestled. Nora trained and wrestled in many smell federations, including SCW. Ms. Greenwald has said that she owes a lot of her career to Dean Malenko's training facility. It didnt take her long to get somewhere in the wrestling business. Brandi Alexander and Lexi Fife, both wonderful wrestlers, have no chance against the queen of Hardcore even now. When Nora began her career in WCW, they found it hard to match her against worthy opponents. However, it didnt matter who she fought-man or woman, Nora gave it her best fight. Backstage, she trained women wrestlers and polished their skills for the WCW. In WCW, she was a member of Team Madness. She helped train Gorgeous George (along with her rival, Madusa) and was a terrific wrestler, but the leader of the group kicked her out. Ms. Madness was humiliated in front of WCW fans. In 1998, Nora Greenwald appeared in the PGWA as Starla Staxton. She took losses from Rage and Riptide ( I have no clue who those two are!), two women PGWA wrestlers. She also appeared in CCW and fought Malia Hosaka. In August of 1998, Starla got the womens title. A few months later, Ms. Greenwald appeared on Heat to wrestle Jacqueline for the WWF Womens title. She was unsuccessful in this match. She returned to WCW as Mona and lost a series of matches against Malia Hosaka, but finally, she began to kick booty again. Gradually, Ms. Greenwald won the Womens championship. (hint hint, WWF, hint hint!!) Madusa, Monas rival, had been out this whole time. They covered it with an injury scheme, but many people believe that she was having plastic surgery. When Madusa returned, she and Mona had an Evening Gown Match. This match was considered the turning point in Mona's career. She was successful in this match, but it may have been the downfall of her role in WCW. She fought a few more matches, but then WCW proved its stupidity by firing her. I dont know what they'd been smoking, but I am definitely glad that she had a chance to get into WWF. The WWF hired her soon after, and she went to Jerry Lawlers training facility in Memphis (MCW), and polished up on her skills and helped train women. (Funny, she helped train women in WCW and look how she got repaid? I have a permanent grudge against them, and I was glad when Shane-O-Mac got hold of it.) When she went to MCW, she became known as Lady Ophelia. Lady Ophelia became William Regals valet. Eventually, Nora Greenwald debuted as Molly Holly! Cousin of Crash and Hardcore. (Personally, I think its a great combination.) She and Crash came out on RAW and stopped T & A from beating the heck out of Too Cool after a match. Molly Holly made a beeline for Trish Stratus, and beat the ever-loving crap out of her. Molly, Crash, and Steve Blackman teamed up against T & A at Survivor Series and Molly picked up the in over Trish. Molly Holly was a hit in the WF! Nora Greenwald stated that she didnt even know that she would be debuting as Molly Holly until the day that she did debut as Molly Holly. Ironic, eh? Molly Holly, the queen of Hardcore, has had many different feuds in the WF including Trish, Ivory, Tori ( as Ravens mystery driver-my personal favorite!), and Lita. Nora Greenwalds bright disposition, good looks, and ring skill has made her an instant favorite among fans and wrestlers alike. Molly Holly AKA Nora Greenwald, should soon get some World Wrestling Federation Gold. Nora Greenwald has definitely caught the WWF's eye, and she has come along way since that day in Florida. This young athlete is very versatile-she has aerial skill as well as her grapples. Nora is only 23, so she definitely has a bright future in the WWF. The Prince made a very good decision when he introduced the Queen of Hardcore into the Wrestling business.
